Roopkund Trek

Take yourself on the amazing Roopkund trek in India! It is full of incredible views, large fields, pictures of snow, flowing rivers, dense forests, and beautiful parks. For 6 days, you will climb from 8,000 feet to 16,000 feet, making for an exciting journey.
Providing amazing ideas, Roopkund is one of India’s greatest treks. The trail leads through lush forests, opening up to Ali and Bedni Bugyal, stunning high-altitude meadows. As you progress, you’ll encounter magnificent alpine terrain.
Scaling snow to reach Roopkund Lake is exhilarating, with Mt Trishul looming closer as you ascend. At a ridge above the lake, you’ll feel an incredible proximity to Trishul.

Accommodation: You’ll stay in tents, with three people per tent, from Himri to Jakhol.
Food: Simple, nutritious vegetarian meals from dinner on Day 1 in Sankari to lunch on Day 9.
Trekking Equipment: We provide all necessary gear, including sleeping bags, tents, kitchen/dining tents, utensils, mattresses, toilet tents, and crampons if required. Our equipment is custom-made and tested at high altitudes.
Safety Gear: First aid kits, oxygen cylinders, and stretchers are available for emergencies.
Forest Charges: All forest entry fees and permits are covered.
Trek Leaders & Guides: Experienced professionals will lead your trek, ensuring your safety and enjoyment.
Transport: Charges for transportation from Dehradun to Himri and back from Jakhol to Dehradun are included.

Excludes
Personal Expenditure: Any personal expenses are not covered.
Additional Food: Meals purchased on the first and last days of the journey are not included. Food starts from dinner at the base camp on the first day until lunch on the last day.
Offload Charges: If you require mules or porters to carry your private baggage, there’s an additional charge per bag per day (with a weight limit of 11 kg per bag).
Evacuation: Emergency evacuation charges are not covered.

Start your trek after a hearty breakfast at Ghora Lotani. Achieve heights of 12,500–14,500 feet while crossing zigzag passes, harsh winds, and high-altitude hazards. Go by the popular Kalu Vinayak, where the black marble statue of Lord Ganesha is seen. Reach Bhagwabasa and enjoy camping in its remote, barren landscape. Stay overnight at the campsite.

What is the best time for Roopkund trek?

The most suitable seasons are the end of May to mid-June and September to October. During these months, the weather is nice and the trekking path isn't blocked by snow. It's more enjoyable with pleasant temperatures. Do not travel during the heavy rain in July and August. In addition, stay away during the winter season between November and April, because of snow.

What is the cost of trekking in Roopkund trek?
